Reason #2 of shifting to WINGS Platform:

The current platform supports only one transport.
Practically all platforms of other vendors as well as self-written solutions work to the utmost only with one transport (for instance, only SMS-system or only IVR-system or only USSD-system).
The implementation of the second platform will have as a consequence much difficulties and inconvenience related to the integration of two crucially different systems. As for the independent implementation of the additional transport, finally it will cost much more than the implementation of a ready solution.
Having shifted to WINGS platform you can extend the platform any time by necessary transport modules (for instance, to begin with SMS/MMS/WAP, and then add IVR or USSD) and at the same time have a single integrated system.

WINGS Platform

WINGS Platform is a solution for developing and providing mobile services based on SMS, IVR, WAP, MMS, USSD, J2ME technologies meant for automation system of content and service providers and aggregators.

WINGS platform enables:

  • to connect external providers by HTTP protocols (synchronous, asynchronous) and SMPP;
  • to manage partner connections through WEB interface;
  • to moderate automatically the text messages sent by subscribers;
  • to define fraud by means of an intellectual mechanism;
  • to monitor links with operators and providers on-line;
  • to carry out financial accounts with external providers.

The platform has more than 100 implementations in 17 countries of the world.

Basic Functions of the Platform:

  • Connecting to any operators' mobile interfaces: SMPP, UCP/EMI, GSM-modems, HTTP(S), SMTP, MM7, SS7, ISDN PRI, H.323, SIP and etc.;
  • Aggregation of external content-providers, support of various aggregation interfaces, including SMPP and HTTP;

The platform is based on SOA architecture, it has a distributed scalable architecture and supports load balancing among servers. The servers can work in a parallel mode for load balancing and securing fault tolerance as well as in a mutual exclusion mode (standby mode).

Due to the distributed architecture of the platform it is possible to increase the supported load in case of emergency by mere adding of servers.

The platform consists of many independent modules (services), each of which can be hosted on a separate server. Several objects of one functional module can work in parallel including work on different servers.

Also, when servers work in load balancing mode, they can monitor each other and in case one of them fails, other servers can perform its functions (for example, to initiate necessary SMPP-connections and to start message processing).

The platform enables content providers to provide convergent multi transport services and herewith use a single integrated system. It identifies solutions to many problems: content storage and statistics revision in truly different systems, inconvenience of use, complicated support, high development cost.
